The Company

  • customer sites range from 50 to 1500 typically
  • their offering includes:  Microsoft solutions – including SharePoint, UC, Managed Services, Virtualisation, SAN and exceptional professional services

The Brief

  • work with the team to maintain the design and integrity of internal systems
  • support customers’ hosted and cloud solutions
  • support WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls and security generally
  • monitor and respond to system alerts, update agent scripts and perform periodic system reviews
  • support DR, VPN and TS
  • scrupulously upkeep documentation and processes

The Requirements

  • essential: experience within a managed services practice
  • SNMP and monitoring expertise (Linux environments essential along with Windows experience)
  • technical certifications such as: MCP, RHCE, LPI, MCSA/MCSE, CCEA/CCIA, CSSA, CCNA and VCP all ideal
  • strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • commitment – so a stable work history is essential
  • meticulous attention to detail, organised, ability to prioritise, multi-task and work happily in a fast paced environment
  • strong team orientation
  • initiative and proactive attitude
  • professional, outgoing personality with flawless communication skills – able to communicate complex technical issues effectively
  • commitment to providing legendary customer service over the phone, by email and in person at customer sites
